Hi, I’m Giovanna (she/her), a Brazilian Systems/DevOps analyst and free and open source enthusiast, currently living and working in Luanda, Angola.
About noiseops
noiseops was born from my love of writing, and the name is just noise + ops. Noise comes from music, my favourite hobby, and Ops comes from Operations, like in DevOps. Not very creative, but I like it.
Topics get a bit mixed up here, just like the name. I’ll write about my hobbies, about collecting physical media, mostly CDs and vinyl, and also about tech, especially open source and self-hosting. Besides being a hands-on learning lab, I want this blog to be fun for me.
Profile
I work with Linux-based infrastructure, virtualised on-premises environments and monitoring and observability tooling. I’m comfortable with containers, cloud fundamentals (Azure and AWS) and IT service management. I contribute to open source by translating, documenting and sharing my work publicly. I have a law degree, an MBA in Software Engineering Management and a postgraduate qualification in information security and data protection.
